BuG; Blog RSS wrong linkback url

The RSS link for the blogs gives a postback url of http://www.site.com/blogs.php  .  This was tested on my site and on the demozzz site.  There is no such file for blogs.php and so if the user clicks on the link to be taken to the blog url they are displayed with Profile Not Available for Viewing message.

yes, i found this awhile back myself and forgot to post it to the track.   let me see if its doing this to me in rc3 still...

ok  on my upgrade from 6.1.4 to 7rc3  if i click blogs then a members then click on rss unders actions  i get taken to a list of posts by that user.   if i hover over the topic post it lists the proper url to the blog.  if i click on the title from the rss page i get taken to the right post that i clicked on.

i know it was either a beta or rc2 that did what you are talking about to me as well but it no longer does it in rc3 to me.  it just works as it should.

You are correct that the postback for individual blogs are working correctly.

However, the postback url for the user's main blog itself is not working and sending you to site.com/blogs.php

Here is how I am arriving at the issue:

My blog page at the demo site is: http://demozzz.com/dolphin7b/blogs/posts/mk11232   I have 3 test post there

1.  Now I click on RSS Subscribe from my blog main page of demozzz

2.  I am given this link to subscribe: http://demozzz.com/dolphin7b/rss_factory.php?action=blogs&pid=99 (click on the link to test to see that it takes you to the proper RSS feed)

3.  I subscribe via firefox (name it Demozzz mk11232 blog)  and my 3 blog entries showup as those are what I have (picture)

4.  Now I don't want to click on an individual entry but go to the blog's homepage to see all entries at once so I click on Open Demozzz mk11232 Blog to go to the main blog page and it is clicking on that link that takes me to http://demozzz.com/dolphin7b/blogs.php

5.  Firefox RSS may be the issue?  So I test it on my site, I put the blog RSS feed in a RSS feeder on my site to see what dolphin does, well it looks nice and shows everything:

6.  However, when I hover over the Blogs RSS feed to go to the main blog RSS look at the url that shows in my browser:

So the postback url for the main blog feed itself is incorrect and will bring you to a page that states Profile Cannot be Displayed for Viewing.

ok i did the same but i use IE7 and IE8  and i get returned back to the master feed page with like 12 listings on it. so i think you are correct FF maybe doing something different the IE is.

Let me try FF with the same feed and see what happens.

ahh yes you are correct FF reads it as blogs.php....   IE reads it as a master list on an rss page....

Hover your mouse over the link at the top blog title of the IE feed and how it reads, I how that even on IE 8 when I hover over the title of the blog I get directed to the blogs.php link.  It shows everything else and the proper link over the individual articles.
