3 questions. https://www.deanbassett.com
I emailed them over a week ago, and no I'll feel better when I have; 1) My money back or 2) The service I paid for Try reading the entire post before you comment next time... Point is I paid them $39 for Ray A/V chat Ad-Free, and they're forcing me to buy the entire Ray Suite Ad-Free otherwise I will not be able to use the Ray A/V Chat Ad-Free Licence, do you follow now? Also on top of that they didn't provide me with the download for Ray Ad-free nor is there one on the site where they directed me to, bare in mind Ray Ad-Free is what I just paid $39 dollars for.
I did read the entire post. And not necessarly, i don't know for sure i can't say, but they might have a way around the issue with the licences. https://www.deanbassett.com
I have been using Boonex for a long time now. Their support is useless, these forums are desolate and incredibly unhelpful, the control they give you over even paid for features is minimal. I just rcently bought for $39 a Ray chat a/v licence and they email me saying; ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This license is now available in your BoonEx Unity account at http://www.boonex.com/unity/ Now you can register the product with this license. Note that free licenses can be used with Free Ray only, while paid licenses should be used on for Ad-Free Ray package. If you have already installed Free Dolphin+Free Ray you should: 1. Remove Free Ray package from Dolphin directory. 2. Download Ad Free Ray package at http://www.boonex.com/unity/. 3. Upload the new package to Dolphin directory into /ray/ folder. Both packages are available for download at http://www.boonex.com/unity/. Thank you for your payment. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So I'm expected to replace the Ray folder in order to use my Ray chat ad-free license , that will mean that NONE of Ray suites other features will work using the free licenses and I'll be forced to dish out more money for their buggy shit software. And guess what else, NOT ONLY did they not provide a download link to the software I JUST PURCHASED... THERE WAS NO DOWNLOAD LINK ON http://www.boonex.com/unity/ EITHER, THE ONLY LINK THEY DID GIVE ME!!! What a fucking joke, I give them $39 to be forced into paying more and I have to go look for the fucking product myself!! My god, I spose I'm the fool for not dumping them when I first realized they were shit. here's a list of things I emailed Boonex about that they (surprise surprise) never got back to me about. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1) The chatroom drops the connection with a user, the user has no idea this has happened and thinks the room has just gone quiet, when infact the user is no longer connected and all other users see he/she has left. 2) Some users in the chat do not show on the userlist nor can other users see their typed messages, however they can still see others messages and their own messages, so it may seem like they're being ignored. 3) Some messages duplicate and appear twice, this happens very often, to the user their own messages never appear to be duplicating but to other users they are. 4) I have zero control over the chatrooms look and arrangement, this is not acceptable, I also have no access to it's code, how can I have a website with a featutre I have no control over? I wouldn't need to email you if I had full control. (the available skins are not well designed) 5) There are no action commands in this chat, a very modern feature that all users expect, the "/me" command. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So the only download I COULD find was for doplhin + ray adrfree + orca, now I'll have to hack up my own fucking database and try to make the chat work on the ad-free version with the other features still hopefully intact. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Boonex - Thanks for fucking nothing - you SUCK! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If this doesn't work I'm going to socialGo http://www.socialgo.com/ I suggest EVERYONE does the same. I've had the complete opposite experience. Regarding costs, you can also buy a contributor license for $100 and get the full bennies of the entire suite. However, that may change within the next few weeks. Every company can always improve their support and BoonEx is not exempt from that. The early days of any OS will be riddled with trying to "figure things out". Regarding the Ray Chat customization, it is possible to stylize that too. I know about socialgo.com and can see how that might work for you. But in the end, you don't own our own network. You are trading personal, freedom and control of your network for convenience. If you've resolved to do that then congratulations. I just happen to believe that the inability for you to obtain the information you need is what has most likely caused you to feel that way. Some ways to get the info is by searching this forum and Googling dolphin tutorials. You will get a number of results returned for tutorial sites. I have my own nerd site that has a few tutorials that may help as well. In my viewpoint, this script is a bargain. ...sip... Updating my BoonexNerd.net site.

Ok well yeah I think it's obvious I did totally over-react, $39 is cheap, but it really pissed me off on top of all the other problems I've had with them that they didn't directly give me what I just paid for, I had to patch it together myself. I work with Maya, bought zbrush recently, so yeah man I know... I'm attempting to follow their loose directions as it stands, if it works I'll edit the post and apologize and piss off with my tail between my legs hehe And yes, I would like some cheese, can you make that a grilled cheese sandwich?

Well keep at it man. I think you will find it can serve you well. Dolphin 7 is also looking very good but requires optimization. It is still a bit heavy. Fourthings, I still have the original Power Animator manuals! Check out darrenpowless.com. He has an installation tutorial. As well, it is very important that your server completely complies with the specs. Remember that this has been successfully installed successfully by others. It could be a server issue, permissions, corrupt files...etc. Cheers! Updating my BoonexNerd.net site.
lol those manuals have to be worth something now :p The site was running fine with the ad version, all I did was replace the ray folder with the ad-free ray folder and it shat itself. Trying to download the backup now
LOL to boonex is a scam, how can you say that after giving out the link to that socialgo. Wow have you seen how much that costs to even get close to what boonex offers. 150 dollors a months, are ya kidding me. Granted dolphin is a bit buggy when using 6, (which will be fixed with the new 6 patch) then onto v7. If you use the free version you only get very small ads anyway which nobody notices and you still have the freedom to play about with it . I have really good hosting with masses of storage and bandwidth and it doesnt even come close to $150 a month. Im sure socialgo as its merits, but as a serious community forget it unless you have money to burn. Wise people stick it out with boonex, you wont find anything better (once of course boonex as tamed the bugger) LOL
Yeah socialgo is pricey, and it works out to more then 150 :p for the "white label" features. Can anyone tell me where I go to enter the ad-free code into ray chat? I can't find it in plug ins

I can't find it in plug ins This is from my site: How to Apply the Licensing for RayOut of all three licensing procedures, Ray is the most complex depending on the number of widgets you are installing. It is also good to note that the licensing naming convention does not match exactly to the name of the widgets as of version 6.1.4. For this tutorial, it will be for version 6.1.4 which is the most recent version at the time of this writing. To apply the Ray licenses, here's what you need to do:
Ray Widget MapYou will notice that as you register your Ray widgets that the names to widgets don't necessarily match the license naming. Below is a widget mapping that show the widget to license naming.
*Note: The pMusicPlayer is specific to the Profile Music play listing. You will notice it is the same license as the Music Player. How to Apply the Licensing for OrcaThe Orca license is applied within the Orca forum contained within the Dolphin interface. To apply the Orca license, here's what you need to do:
Square Brackets and Orca Language CompilationAfter installation of Orca, you may notice square brackets [ ] that surround certain words. This means that you need to compile the language file. Here's what you need to do:
How to Apply the Licensing for DolphinOut of all three licenses, applying the Dolphin license is the easiest one to do. Remember that before you apply your license that you have installed the AdFree version. Here's how to apply the BoonEx Dolphin license:

Ah, thank you very much, it seems to have gone through ok now, it still says the A/V chat widget is not registered when I try to load the chat page, but I'm hoping that is something that will correct itself in time. Thank you for your help Jtadeo, it's very much appreciated! |
