Deano92964,
Thank you for your reply. That's actually the initial method I tried a year ago to try to find a Boonex programmer. And I discovered going that route wasn't efficient or effective. I came across more programmers who weren't available, didn't really seem to be programmers, seemed more interested in designing mods, didn't have a functional site or a website at all that reflected that they could program, charged much more than the work was eventually done for or didn't have positive references once I researched deeper.
To find a programmer, I actually had to go with two great programmers I found on Elance.com and Freelancer.com, both of these programmers happened to be Boonex Unity members, but they were buried so deep amongst all the other traders that I never came across them. There was no distinguishing sign to show that they were programmers, freelance or available, just to initiate first contact.
So most recently when I needed a programmer I went straight to the jobs section of Unity and in addition to posting an ad, which only got one response, I reached out to members who had replied to other job postings. My assumption was if they were seeking work, then they must be programmers. This seemed to produce a great contact and introduce me to a capable programmer. I believe this particular programmer fixed the problem he was hired for, but since I'm getting no response from him now after he's been paid, I honestly don't know if it's something he did or something I did, since the last message from him was that he hasn't fixed it yet. So considering he was one of a dozen programmers I contacted via this route thru the jobs section, but he was the only one who responded, I'm not even confident this is an efficient or effective approach to finding an available, skilled and efficient freelance Boonex programmer.
Any other suggestions?
