Blog Categories Doesn't Update

When a blog is deleted the categories do not update.

For instance.....

I created a test blog - under the category "Baby Blogs"

I deleted that blog

The category "Baby Blogs" did not remove the post from its count.

Then I deactivated the "Baby Blogs" category via the admin panel

The category "Baby Blogs" still shows on my site - even after deactivation, and it also still shows (1) - for the blog I had previously made and deleted.

This shows on (at least) the front page & the categories page.

I looked to see if anyone else reported this & I couldn't find anything. If this is redundant, please delete this report.

I think you should open a ticket.

There are many bugs similar to this.

I can't open a ticket at the moment since I'm not a Premium member.

That being the case, this is the best I can do. ; )

I'll post it for you and I'll provide the link here

according to AlexT we are too dumb to submit a ticket in trac. after several complaints that i even as moderator status couldnt submit a ticket, instead of looking into the issue, AlexT declared that those of us who couldnt login to trac to submit a ticket were too dumb.

Actually i have been meaning to ask you about that. I know you have both upper and lowercase letters in your nickname. If your password does also this might explain it.

Trac logon is case sensitive. I am not sure if that is just the password, logon id or both.

Doesn't matter - this was declared invalid now.

Does anyone else have this issue?
