Blog Action Control Not Working

Hi Guys, I adapted the "BLOG" module for publishing works that needs to be preserved for public access once approved by admin, more like RECORD keeping. I needed to DISABLE the permission for EDIT n DELETE but the controls under Membership Levels (shot attached) appears not to be working.

Please see the screen shot attached, I guess those 2 Stared RED were meant to limit member capacity  to delete or edit. The member EDIT n DELETE controls in the second shot were still working perfectly despite having it disabled in Admin. Please kindly check this out for me.

If  I remember correctly try logging in as a non admin member to see if it shows still.

That's right. You should always create a test user. To make it easy, you can use your admin password, but NOT your admin email address. Then keep in mind that Admin has many special privileges. What you see may not be what your members see, so use the test user's account to make sure they're only seeing what you want them to.

You could also you a second browser as well. If you use chrome try using chrome beta along with it or even firefox too. I use them to test different accounts and don't have to logout to see results

Thanks Puppyshad and John42John42 for your responses.

I didn't use my admin access to login. I worked with 2 browsers as puppy said and as matter of fact you cannot create any blog post in any member's account with admin access. You must be logged in as a member. So the issue is real. Any other way?

Make a new account as a regular user named "tester"

Okay, If you'e in the member's account and looking at the blog they have created, do the edit and delete buttons actually work? Possibly they don't!

If you click a button, maybe you'll be told Access Denied. I don't think the "Action Buttons" disappear when you remove the member's privileges in Admin. (your photo 1)

You can physically remove these buttons by modifying the database. Do a search for "Action Buttons", or via Google "Remove Action Buttons Boonex" because it's been discussed before.

Better still, Modzzz has a $20 mod that will do it for you on a page to page basis. It's much safer.

I have just discovered that the 2 disabled buttons are for SUB-Admins and nothing primarily designed to restrict EDIT n DELETING by the account owner.

I have reservations concerning the use of third party stuffs because I am working on a very important INTEGRITY project that has a global scope. I do not want the content that are meant to be kept secured exposed to vulnerability through Dolphin Updates that may overwrite custom modes. It will be too costly if it happens. I wanted to stick with the main frame.

So Its now clear that there was NO control for Blog EDIT and DELETE for User/member.

I need AlexT to give his word on this to see if there will be solution within.

Thanks for all your responses bro.
