Blocking function not working

When you click on "Block" on a member's profile to block that member from viewing your account and to stop them from contacting you, the applet pops up saying "User was added to blocklist" but they can still see your details and contact you.

Have I simply misunderstood the block feature or is it not working properly and if so, how do you fix it?

My v6.1.4 works perfectly  .....

"Failed to send message. You are in the block list of this member"

Try different browsers  .....  No browser is consistent across the entire installation  .....

Also be sure to clear your browser caches  .....
