Ok, so I checked the forums, and didnt see any thing, and the agent said to post it here, so here we go!
When navigating the site, like when checking out other profiles, or checking the inbox, or just anything really, It comes up a a blank page. this doesnt happen every time but it is often enough that I have had the members notice it and complained.
Refreshing the page only works half the time, even if you do it multiple times.
The only fix is to hit the back button and start over again, and then it usually goes right through.
So I dont no if this is a real bug like the ones I have seen here, but Damn it is annoying!
Thanks,
Derrick

It happens to me all the time as well... ever since "upgrading" to 7.0.1 I thought it was just me. The header/top menu is there, there is just no page content. It happens mostly with profiles. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |

Well glad it wasnt just me, I didnt want to post a bug, since I am so new to this, I dont know what a real bug is.
But mine is with 7.0.0,
And yes, same with mine, header and footer are there also.

Just out of curiosity, which browser do you use? I'm using FF 3.6.3 I haven't done this, (Not sure why not) but the next time it happens, I'm going to look at the page source and save it, then compare it to the page source when the page is displayed normally. I'd suggest you do the same... save the page so we have something that can be analyzed. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
Some code for analysis will be great.
Also if you can provide url to the page with the problem, I will try to reproduce it.

I'm not sure how to analyze this one Alex. I looked at the page source when the page content was missing, and saved it. Then I refreshed the page, and the content appeared. I saved that page source as well. When I compared the two pages, they're identical.
I have no idea where to even start trouble shooting this one. I thought it was just some strange quirk with my computer/browser, but since it's happening to someone else, I can't just dismiss it. I have only observed it happening on my site. The browser doesn't indicate any page errors, but I don't see how this can be anything but some sort of javascript issue.

Same here.
FF 3.6.3 is what I use.
I havent noticed it on the other Browsers, but I dont use them as much either.
I will try to see if Google crome, and IE does the same

i also got the problem that often the page content under the first header box title is missing,
mostly on form sites like add events/groups or profile

If this happened to me with other websites, I could chalk it up as some kind of browser bug, but it doesn't. The fact that it is happening to other Dolphin sites. leads me to believe it's some strange js issue. I rarely use IE, so I can't say for certain if the problem is unique to FF. I use FF 3.6.3 on a Windows 7 laptop.
The only non-Dolphin JS in the body of my pages is Google analytics, and a sharethis button. I also load an additional jquery plugin in the header, that I know no one else here is using, so I doubt that has anything to do with it. That leaves Google analytics and the share this button. I doubt either of those have anything to do with the problem... I'm just fishing for something we might all have in common besides Dolphin. Happens to me mostly with IE or when i have caching turned on in dolphin.

Wow. Looks like a bunch of people have this problem. I guess everybody, like me, just chalked it up as a browser quirk. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
I don't know if this is good or bad, but the exact same thing just happened to me on a different website. (Not a dolphin site) My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |

I have the same problem in IE8 |
Try deleting everything in /cache/, /cache_public/ and /tmp/.

An amusing suggestion, but I don't believe it will solve the problem.

Its like it happens in spurts with me! some days it happens every once in a while, then other days its like every time I go from one page to another it happens.
I have other generic websites and I havent had that happened yet, but they are just regular websites with maybe 10 pages or so.
I cant seem to put a time on it, nor a certain situation. its not any particular page either.

This has not happened on my site since I disabled the wysiwyg editor for comments. could it be a bug? I re enabled it and sure enough, I started getting the blanks again. |
I had this issue only with profiles and I found it to be connect with the Timeout before displaying profile info(in seconds) setting so i changed that to 25 after i done this i no longer have this issue. Never had inbox issues.
Hope this helps a little bit, if i was you try checking your php.ini settings.

Same for me once in a while but mostly when I click on contact to send a mail to the member. FF 3.5.11
Since a few days I can't send any message here at the Unity as well

The issue with blank profile pages (and others) is due to TinyMCE being enabled in the comments section. This is because of compatibility issues with some browsers and the version used in the script. This issue is fixed in Dolphin 7.0.3 by updating to the latest version. You can either disable TinyMCE in the comments section for now, apply the update to TinyMCE from the repository, or wait for Dolphin 7.0.3 to be released and update. Not true I don't have the comments block even on the profile page and it used to do it. I do find it still dose it to the new profiles but when i refresh the page it works.
Now I have looked into it your find that it is to due with the cache. I just wiped my cache folder clean, and it is now doing it to all profiles now, but once it has had a user or guest go on it and the user**.php cache file is created and works fine. I think instead of having individual user**.php cache files they should have a universal profile.php cache file for the standard new join profiles and then for tweaks ect it creates a user**.php cache file when profile tweaks are made, like OSDate with there cache. They have an profile.php cache file to read from first then creates a user**.php cache file to add the profile tweaks ect.
