Blank Index page after moved to a new host

Hello,

I just moved my Dolphin 7.9 site to a new host (Zarcon), unfortunately the index page is now blank.  What is configuration file that I need to adjust for the new host ?

You need to edit inc/header.inc.php to enter the proper path information.

Thank you Deano.

Unfortunately  I got a lot of Database query errors after changing it to the right paths.

Have you copied the database as well to the new server. If so then the database name, pass, ect may not be the same.

The database info is also in the inc/header.inc.php.

You should put in a support ticket at http://www.zarconia.net/ and either zarcon or nathan paton should be able to assist you.

Thank you. I think I find the problem, it's because the database on the new host has no tables/contents in it. Will try to copy the database from the old host to see if that will fix it.

hello, I was moving my site to a new host, but having some issues can you help me?

I followed the instructions here:

1) Export the database in a SQL dump (phpMyAdmin can do this)
2) ZIP or TAR the entire Dolphin's folder keeping all files and folders permissions
3) Move all of that to a new server
4) Extract the zipped/tared archive
5) Import the database ((phpMyAdmin can do this too)
6) Edit the file inc/header.inc.php file and adjust path to a dolphin's folder and database access credentials for a new server.
7) Install the cron job in the same way it was installed on the old server.

I uploaded all the files including the htaccess files, created the data base info which I made the same and imported the data base and Gold-Prospecting.org is just not showing up, can you help on this please?

Thanks

Bill

Hello, I update and keep the same user and database and I think the directories are different and might be the problem?

Thanks

Bill

If you think the directories are different (and if you think then I would have to wonder you might need someone to do this for you) then you have to edit the header.inc.php file to correct the path.

For example, on your old site, it might be home/public_html.... while on the new it might be home/www/.... and so you would need to note that change in header.inc.php file.

If you are unsure, send me a PM and I can take a look.
