Black D7.1 Template???

Can someone direct me to a Black D7.1 Template?

The one I purchased for D7.0.9 is not compatible and the template creator keeps giving me the runaround about upgrading the Black D7.0.9 template to D7.1.  I just purchased the Black D7.0.9 template less then two months ago Yell!

Any assistance would be most appreciated :)

Just out of curiosity, which black template do you use?

It is titled "BlackisBlackFrame"...do you know how I can upgrade the template?

Unfortunately, the 7.1 template construction is so different than 7.0.9 templates, it's not a simple upgrade.  It's basically an entire rework.  7.0.9 templates are designed with a lot of different images, and the one you use is no different.   7.1 templates are nearly entirely css based.  Considering the fact that 7.1 templates will be a do-over, I would be really surprised if ANY template developers offer a free upgrade for any existing 7.0,9 templates.

I'm not trying to rip someone off...I have offered to pay, but the support is lacking.  I would prefer to pay for a simple black template rather than waste my time on creating a black template.  Instead I will take the time to edit the code myself!

This is nonsense that I have paid ALOT of money for this code only to have to deal with stupid issues like templates.  Boonex should include standard white and black templates to cater to those with light and dark color schemes.

Agreed. That's what their ALT template they included with dolphin 7.1 should have been. A dark version.

Anyhow. At some point in time i will most likely do a 7.1 version of my black template. But it will be a while. I have over 20 modules to update. Those are first on my list before i get to templates.

You also need to be patient. This is the first beta. it is going to take developers quite some time to get everything updated.

No one should expect developer have everything updated overnight. That would also be nonsense.

....I don't know what your programming or web experience consists of, but I have been administering a PHP-Nuke/mySQL Community Management System for over 10+ years.  The upgrades were never handled like this!  Whenever PHPNuke worked on a BETA version, they never released it to the public.  So, I would recommend this BETA version be debugged in a secure, private location instead of releasing it to the public! This way none of you will be bothered with simple questions such as HOW to edit the template!

Another recommendation from PHPNuke would be to include a standard pack of differing template colors and layouts.  This was done with PHPNuke, which was extremely helpful in customizing the CMS to an Admin's site colors.

As for the ALT template, it is not a dark color scheme...its blue and white!

tony7:  Thanks for offering a response :) I spend the majority of today creating the black template myself.

I am shocked by the argumentative, antagonistic and unprofessional responses by some of the people on this forum.  After 10+ years administering a PHP-Nuke site with countless upgrades, I never encountered this type of rude treatment by other Admins.  Instead we all worked together to resolve the issues and no one was treated like a bother!  Who would of thought that a Support Board that I paid ALOT of money for the code would act this way compared to the Open Source PHP-Nuke Support Board where I was treated politely and nice!

I am amused by the irony of these statements.

@GAEA - I was actually agreeing with you on the template issue. I did say the ALT template they included should have been a dark version of the UNI. But you must have misunderstood me.

I also agree the betas should not have been released to the general public like this, But i have been in development work for over 15 years. Public Betas were common practice by a number of open source projects. But i mostly dealt with Linux, BBS's(Back when they were popular), and other linux based software. Not so much CMS type software. Public beta testing isnot done as much anymore as it used to be.

Yea!, another old timer! I was a sysop of a Wildcat! BBS from Mustang Software since the first version came out. Those were the good old days trying to sync up a rack of modems, multi-nodes and Novel Netware!

I ran a WWIV BBS. It was one of the few BBS programs where the source was available(for a price) I ran my multi node BBS under OS/2 Warp. Yea. Things were fun back then. I enjoyed it.

Actually it is not that difficult to create a black template from the css sheets yourself in my opinion. Just copy all the base sheets, clean up so all css color references are left and all image references are left. Then change the color codes (Tip: use a color table with a from and to color) and add the include of the base css on top and change the name your template. It is some work though but much easier than it was with 7.0.9. where you also had to change a lot of images from white to black. Which I did by batch inverting the colors. Now with 7.1 it is much easier.

Hello,

I just finished template blackisblack for Dolphin 7.1

I had to redo it from scratch because dolphin 7.1 uses other parameter for the models

it is almost the same model as for the 7.0 version of dolphin

but a little different

I made the texts clearer - and I add a new video player I hope you enjoy this new version for dolphin 7.1
