Birthday format

Is there anyway to change the signup birth date format from (YEAR-MONTH-DAY) --- to (DAY-MONTH-YEAR)?

The only thing I see in the past forums is for Dolphin 6.0

I'm not near my main computer to confirm the accuracy of this, but have a look here:

yoursite/administration/lang_file.php in the settings link

I found this in another thread.

Thanks :-)
But sadly I did not see anything in the "Language" settings about date setting.

I am not sure if this is doable or not - just as a brainstorm, I am guessing not. The date format of year - month - day is more internationally used than day - month - year. And probably why most sites use the year-date-month format. We as Americans do things different from the rest of the world.  I am just guessing though.

Strange as when i have used older versions of dolphin in the past (few years ago now) there as been a way to change the display of the date format to Day-Month-Year so cant understand why it cant be changed anymore, might seem like a silly thing to question but most people in the UK wont be happy with it being displayed the way it is and seeing as my site will be aimed at just people in the UK then its a big thing for me.

Thanks

people wont really care - I have been using the year-month-day for years now and noone has complained - except 1 person. I told him that is how the date is formatted to correctly calculate age - and he was cool with that.
