Big Troubles with TMDHosting

Hi all,

i'm getting upset with TMDHosting. they are a suggested Hoster from Dolphin  but i get more and more troubles with them. now they have suspended my website because of the following messegae from them.

TMD Hosting: The script you are using should be optimized according the allowed CPU/RAM usage as per our ToS policy. Your website developer or the developers of your application should be able to complete that for you. Unfortunately we do not offer such development services at this time. http://tmdhosting.com/terms.html

so can anyone help me out with that?

Thanks a lot

Nico

TMDHosting, like other BoonEx-recommended web hosting providers, use a bait-and-switch technique to gather customers, especially when it involves Dolphin. They offer so-called "unlimited" web hosting at very low prices (which has caused the introduction of the term "nickel host"), but one should realize that such web hosting doesn't exist, as there is no such thing, due to disk space and bandwidth being hardware limitations, which requires physical resources.

However, they do keep their word and do not take much notice to your disk space and bandwidth consumption, but instead, place a very low limit on processor consumption for your web server, meaning if you are using too much of the processor for a certain amount of time (sometimes for only a second), you will be suspended and forced to switch to a more expensive offering from them, such as a dedicated server.

The idea is, once your community is built, you will not want to risk moving to a new web hosting provider.

Don't be afraid to move the site if you're not satisfied.  It's not that difficult and there are plenty of people here to help. Me, for instance.

Where would you suggest moving?  Any good hosting providers located in Canada?

I don't think it makes a difference where they are located geographically. As long as they have good support and know how to install Dolphin.

I use Joombyte, I find them very responsive and professional. So far so good. No horror stories here.

Thanks for the feedback... the two most important things I'm after are good support and fast page loading... both for a reasonable price (not necessarily the cheapest price).  And I will not hesitate to move my site if it's obvious there is better hosting somewhere else.

I have the most economical package as i am just starting out. Fast page loading speed is so hard to gauge, especially if someone has a slow internet connection. You may want to chat with them.

Their support is via email, but they have always been very prompt in responding.
