Banned Members getting the massmail newsletter

Hi,

Just wondering why when a member is banned, they would still get emailed from the mass mailer?! Clearly the member shouldn't be sent anything if they are banned.

Anyone know a way to stop this?

I really hope boonex has cleaned many of these loop holes in administration and moderation functions not to mention added usual moderation features. The more they put into this with no focus these important functions, the less and less attractive Dolphin will become as it is an administration nightmare I'm coming to find out.

Yeah. Make the banned member delete his account. A Banned member is still a member and should continue to receive the mass mail from the site until he or she chooses to stop it.

Obviously, banned members are banned for a reason. If they request the mail to be stopped, oblige them by a full deletion.

Well, in my case, I've banned them simple because they have provided a bogus email address (or the one they have set on facebook is also invalid). I've deleted accounts and they've sometimes been created again within minutes as it's so easy with facebook connect. I would think banning them would cease everything. Also, I've banned members who've committed fraud and I'd prefer not to have them signup again with that email.

There needs to be a way to disable/ban members that shuts EVERYTHING off.

Sorry, that's what the suspend option is for them.

Banned users are explicitly set to banned by admins because they are abusive. They generally don't have the position to negotiate what is and isn't on in their account. It's BANNED and should be off.

I think this is a bug. The mass mailer is sending mail to everyone that has an email in the database regardless of what the membership status is. Hopefully if someone that has the power agrees they will open a ticket.

I hope someone deems it a bug too...
