Backing out from a topic

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this site and would like to say hello.

Am I stupid or something cause as I try to back out of a topic by pressing the back key, I'm just left at the topic page and won't be taken back.

Is there another way to back out of a topic that I don't know about. I can only back out if I press Forums again an start all over again, each time I get stuck in the topic that I'm reading.
