Trac has no business being on the help menu. All that happens is that clueless newcomers think a trac ticket is a place to post a request for some frivolous help request. I don't know why you folks ever thought it was wise to make writing trac tickets a free-for-all in the first place. It's counterproductive.

Problem is, the documentation (humor me on this) is housed on the Trac wiki.
I'd like to see that replaced with DocuWiki or a similar script that allows for collaborative articles. Then move Trac elsewhere and never use it with the words "help" or "support" ever again. A wiki for documentation would be nice, let the community help build it; peer review will make it accurate. It would take some of the load off of Boonex for revising the documentation. Geeks, making the world a better place |
