Avatar link failing fresh install

Hi, i have done a couple of clean installs of RC2 but i cannot get the Avatar link to work in the dashboard. I notice that others are having similar problems but no resolutions. In the drop down it says "_bx_ava_avatar" this is fixable by changing it to AVATAR in the admin panel but if you click the link the browser shows "mysite.com/modules/?r=avatar" and fails "MODULE (AVATAR) WAS NOT FOUND"

When you install a Module you must compile the Language for that module. That may explain the 1st issue and may resolve the second issue.
