Auto correct in Tiny MCE is driving me nuts!

I'm going to mass mail to all my members but I can't seem to fix the link in Tiny MCE.  Example, I add a link like this http://mysite.com/m/poll/&action=show_poll_info&id=316, when i update it, it automatically changes to this  m/poll/&action=show_poll_info&id=316. It drops http://mysite.com/Of course this link WILL NOT work in emails.  How can i force to keep http://mysite.com/ there?  It's driving me nuts. Yell

Highlight the full text you want to be a link and use the link button to add the link.

Also, you can turn off the autolink feature of TinyMCE.  Auto correct is what those crappy iphones do LOL

Remember there are many TinyMCEs on Dolphin; for example, the forum is not part of the other TinyMCEs config file.  The email template one may not be where you think it is.

yeah I'm looking... sigh.. Still don't know where....

I'm laughing... I tried "http://mysite.com" alone to see if that stays... yes it did.  So I was thinking of doing the LONG way.  I added a redirect html file then I added http://mysite.com/redirect.html.   It changed to  "redirect.html".  UGH.   Man.... BOONEX, please help me out here!!  This is ridiculous!!!

If it is TinyMCE, then it is not Dolphin code.  I have not seen what you are reporting, normally with long complicated links, it fails to include the end; so you have to manually add the link.  I suspect you have something else going on.  Since you are in the admin section, HTMLpurifier is not invoked.  You must have something else going on.  Did you add any plugins to TinyMCE?

Perhaps you are stripping out links?  Sometimes we don't want members adding clickable links; did you do something like that?

Something else going on?  yes i know it's not part of Dolphin code. I'm trying to find MY own way to get away with this. I just don't know where to fix it.  If you do, then help.  :)

by the way, i just found out that if i add www like this... http://www.mysite.com/m/polls/blahblah, it FINALLY stays.  My lord!  Good enough for now!  jeesh lol

Of course you can turn off TinyMCE completely for the email templates and just write your email using HTML tags yourself instead of TinyMCE.

That will be a good idea..  I can try that next time.  i already lost my energy lol.

Then perhaps that is a configuration with the autolink.  I suggest using one of the search engines and put in something like TinyMCE autolink configuration, and see what you find.  When you are dealing with a third party part of Dolphin such as TinyMCE, then often the answer lies in looking outside of Dolphin.  TinyMCE does have a forum as well.

No, sorry, I don't have an answer; just throwing out thinks.
