Autopilot is the single worst idea in the history of forums... is that too harsh? Seriously how hard would it be to add normal pagination here instead of this autopilot nonsense?

Not harsh enough; not nearly harsh enough. I have made several comments on why it is a bad idea. This is just one of many. Locking a topic and creating a new one is a crappy way to handle pagination, very crappy. I have pointed out the problem when a busy topic gets broken into say, fourteen or twenty pieces. You have no way of knowing how many pieces. The navigation is only at the bottom, so you scroll to the bottom before you can find out there is yet another "page" and you have to do this nineteen times on a topic that has been broken into twenty pieces. At the end you say f it and just move on. Geeks, making the world a better place |
