First, I want you to know this Module has FANTASTIC potential and I am thrilled to have it. I look forward to working with you! Peer Peer L. Plaut Executive Director, Single Booklovers Connecting Bookworms Since 1970 |
I have another newsletter module that uses the following code text file. Copying and pasting into the editor sort of works, but not everything is displaying. It should look like the html file, see attached. I have Dolphin Jay looking into this for me also, but was just wondering if you had any ideas. :) Thanks! Peer Peer L. Unticking the Active Option Removes from view from the Administrative Console. Searching for the inactive Message displays no results The only way to recover the file is to go to the database and change the value. My idea behind the Active / Not Active option might be to deactivate for a period of time and then reactivate at a later date. I would like to see in blue- active Messages and red - inactive messages. I look forward to your thoughts on this. Thanks! Peer Peer L. Is there the possibility of a log file to see which profiles got which messages? Peer L. Plaut Executive Director, Single Booklovers Connecting Bookworms Since 1970 |
This might already be a part of Dolphin, but if a members profile gets viewed, is there a way to send a message that says, such and such viewed or commented on your profile? Thanks! Peer Peer L. Plaut Executive Director, Single Booklovers Connecting Bookworms Since 1970 |
For that functionality, you would have to get a module such at the Ultimate Notifier This might already be a part of Dolphin, but if a members profile gets viewed, is there a way to send a message that says, such and such viewed or commented on your profile? Thanks! Peer

I love your modules... Is a logging on the road map showing which members were sent emails and when? Peer Peer L. Plaut Executive Director, Single Booklovers Connecting Bookworms Since 1970 |
Such a feature could be considered but this will log will grow immensely in size once your membership base start to grow and you begin to send mails. Can you elaborate on why you need to maintain such a log ? I love your modules... Is a logging on the road map showing which members were sent emails and when? Peer

I have had to uninstall the application to get the errors to go away.. I would like to get some help so I can get teh app up and running again. Peer Peer L. Plaut Executive Director, Single Booklovers Connecting Bookworms Since 1970 |
I think I have narrowed the problem down to the Ultimate Notifier and have posted there accordingly. P. Peer L. Plaut Executive Director, Single Booklovers Connecting Bookworms Since 1970 |
The issue you mentioned is unrelated to this module. I have had to uninstall the application to get the errors to go away.. I would like to get some help so I can get teh app up and running again. Peer

Is there a way to get these updates automatically when clicking "Check for Updates" in the control panel? Thanks! Peer Peer L. Plaut Executive Director, Single Booklovers Connecting Bookworms Since 1970 |
Boonex has never provided any proper documentation on how this works so it's not implemented. Is there a way to get these updates automatically when clicking "Check for Updates" in the control panel? Thanks! Peer

Hi, I just bought this today and I've been pulling my hair out trying to get it to work. It seems like everything is working just fine except that it simply will not send out emails. No errors nowhere. Just won't send email. Every other part of my website is sendingemails just fine, so I know it's not a problem with my email. Can you test the latest version on a brand new install somewhere and try to figure out why it's not working? Trust me, you have a bug somewhere.
Thanks,
Vernon |

Hi,
I just figured it out. You have the option to send to couples. I don't allow couples on my site. Your script doesn't take that into account. When I uncheck send to couples it sends email like it's supposed to. Maybe in future releases you could fix it to not offer to send to couples, if the site admin has couples disabled. Vernon |
The mod was updated to hide the couples option for sites that have couples disabled. Re-upload the modules/modzzz/mailer/classes folder. Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |
Version 2.0.4 released. (See patches/version_2.0.4 folder in zip file) Added the ability to send messages to members upon joining and un-registering. Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |
Modzz- Thanks for the update.. Peer Peer L. Plaut Executive Director, Single Booklovers Connecting Bookworms Since 1970 |
When the message sends to the site inbox it arrives from the admin account. Is there a way for those who have multiple admin accounts to select who the message arrives from? If not it would be an awesome feature. I ask because it looks more professional for my message to arrive from (My Site Name Account) rather than (My Personal Account First Name).
Thanks and fantastic mod. Not sure how I've looked over this one in the past. |
The message will show as arriving from the actual administrator who created the message. So login with the desired Admin account when you are creating the message to send. There are some sites that are not using birth dates or have profiles with no birth date set and this has caused an issue with the Auto Mailer sending mails. The issue is now fixed and the following file is updated : modules\modzzz\mailer\classes\BxMailerDb.php Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz |

OK - thanks for your help. I made a mistake with the folder where I copied your files - good to know. Now I am running into difficulty completing a simple test to a single user. I did get an email bounce after 24 hours and changed the Send From info to match my host provider for the site, creating a good email address that is testing well with my newly installed SMTP Module in Dolphin.
So far, still looking for the test email to show up after a few minutes. I will watch for it. Good luck with surviving this latest hurricane. We're sending our prayers to those who are living on islands in the Caribbean.
thanks, Gary |
"NEW FEATURE ! - Administrator now have the ability to override the cron job scheduling and force messages to be sent immediately." (from your sales page)
Looks like the email went out. I received it at 12 midnight my time. It was scheduled to send immediately, I believe. Looks like we need some kind of adjustment to the timing or scheduling. Can you tell me where I can find that or a way to check it, or change the cron job settings?
Gary |
I found out where to set the time for the emails to go out. It's under Mail Management. Guess the "Immediate" sending still checks this setting. Also, is there any way to insert a shortcode to pull in Member Profile data such as first name in order to personalize the email? I can see something being done on my test - I still haven't figured out what template is fitting around my template. Thanks - CHOPS |
My try at sending to the entire membership last night seemed to work OK. The timing was still questionable and there are template issues as I mentioned, but at least it seemed to go out. |
It looks like I have to de-activate the message or it will send again, in 24 hours, when it hits the assigned time. Is that correct or is it a bug? Thanks, Gary |
