Author shows as user viewing the post

I stumbled across a blog post where the author for the blog post is shown as the user that is viewing the blog post.  My 7.1 is 1/2(B2) and I need to get the files updated.  I am wondering if the blog post is an orphan left after a member has deleted their account?  I have yet to investigate the database on this.  All other blog posts, as far as I can tell, are displaying the author correctly.  I see another forum post where the person said that not all posts are removed when a user removes their account (7.1).  My problem could be due to this.  I noticed in the forum when a person deletes their account, the post is labelled anonymous and that is fine with me; it does keep the forum dialogue intact and the forum is a public forum.  Blog posts are a bit different; they should be removed since they can not be tied to an account, as well as the users files and photo and music albums.

Follow up.  The blog post is an orphan.  The user that originally composed the blog post has removed their account.

One of the things I have noticed is that if the author id is vacant it will show the author as the person who is signed in.  I am not sure when it is just a guest what it does but if your signed in and you appear as the author and you are not the author you can bet the author id is blank...
