Any user can attach any type of file at forum topics. Also they can attach "exe" files. So it's very dangerous, because they can attach infected files! There should be option for admin to allow only some types of files to be attached by users.

I 'think' this is controlled by the Files module but not completely sure. If you go into Admin Panel > Modules > Files and click 'settings' in the top right corner, look for the field labeled:
Allowed extensions (leave blank to have all types) Try adding something like this (no commas): doc pdf jpg Click Save. Then try uploading a doc,pdf, or a jpg attachment in the forum and see if it works. Then try attaching a exe and see if it gets blocked. Nothing to see here |
