Articles vs. Blogs

Can someone explain the differences between these 2 features. They kid of seem like the same thing. Im trying to figure out which one I should set up on my site.

most things are similar on dolphin.... a lot of functionality is repeated... you need to look at what fits your needs best : )

Articles are a more in depth, researched approach, into a topic.  Siting other articles, interviews, statistics would be common practice in an article.  More objective (unbiased and journalistic) in nature.

 

Blogs, on the other hand, are usually more like a public diary postings with or personal experiences.  Blogs may or may not have a theme, but they are often a way for users to share their own point of view.

 Thats correct. One of the main reasons I do not use Articles. I prefer members add their own content and not rely on the Admin to provide it all.

Do articles & blogs give SEO credit?

I would tend to think yes, but maybe they are created dynamically or something
