Apps and Transistions

Let's start this out as the following:

I have an older version of the Iphone and Android App with mods that have been added and I have already re-branded that version.  What is involved in updating to the newest version of the Iphone and Android app?

If I upgrade I should be able to bring across the old custom app that I had made because the platform is the same?  I had a custom Real Estate app made for the older version but that should be able to be brought forward right?

What I am after here is the ability to meld the past with the present.  It is quite obvious that I can pull down all sites from one APP that has been re-branded although the company that re-branded mine said that was not allowed and removed the possibility for the multiple lines while doing some other work.  When I asked him to put it back he wanted to charge me for doing it NOT COOL at all.  If you make a mistake no problem but don't ask me to pay for it.  OBTW he asked to do it I never asked him to remove the additional line he suggested it with the premise that you could not use additional sites and wondered why it was designed that way!!!

Anyway could you shed some light on this subject for me?  Like if I wanted to update the old version to the new version what would be the best way to do that so I do not have to re-brand a product I have already re-branded.

I am not aware of a way to 'upgrade' existing mobile apps that have already been branded. Since the source code will need to be recompiled for your 'branding' everything from custom images to backgrounds will need to be reapplied to the new version.

Unless AlexT can tell us other wise, there really isn't a way to 'run an upgrade' that would keep all existing branding.. For me, I keep all my custom images and changes in a specific location so that I can reapply quickly to a newer version.

I would recommend to perform merge of two version to determine where is more changes.

If your rebranded app has more changes than 1.7 changes(compared to 1.6) - it is easier to apply changes from 1.7 version to your rebranded app.

If 1.7 changes(compared to 1.6) has more changes than your rebranded app - it is easier to take new 1.7 version and apply your custom modifications to it.

We announce 1.7 version only after apps are approved and appeared in Google Play and Apple Store.
