Any Help getting rid of intruder on my network.

Hi All,

I need a bit of advice / help here. I have a home network setup and just this pass week there has been an intruder in my network. I was using the Mac filtering for my wifi devices, so I don't know how this intruder,computer/device go in. I tried a few thing with the wifi security but this person/intruder still shows up. Right now he's off line. I know this because of a program that I have installed on my computer lets me see all devices on my network. The intruder doesn't show a mac address, only his IP and subnet mask. Also his Ram which is 2816 mb's. If at all possible, can someone help me with this problem?

Thank in advance!

Vito

First off, something like this should have been posted in, Fun and Foo.

For your home network, just use some type of wireless encryption.

If you were using a shared network key, you would have never had to post this...

Using MAC addresses make no sense.

u have to manually type SSID on the wireless devices u own...

its simple just change ur ssid then check the hide ssid option in router..(hope u know this ) then on ur wireless device lets say ur phone or laptop..search for hotspot..u will see SSID name hidden device ..click on it ..then type ur ssid..then if u using any encryption it will ask for password..

regards,

prince

Most of the WiFi hacking tools show the hidden networks too. If your using wpa and its still showing up I doubt its an intruder..
