To encourage people to review the modules/services they bought from me through the market I decided to give a $10 voucher to a customer chosen at random in return for a review.
I have been very busy over the past weeks and only just found time to put the names in a hat and draw a winner. Because this is my first competition and I am a bit late making the draw – and also in honour of my 40th birthday, which was on Thursday - I have decided to give away not one, but three vouchers!
I am delighted to announced that the three winners are: truckingspace alfredkanzler hd4real
Congratulations to all of you!
To be in with a chance of winning next month simply leave a review and you will automatically be entered for the August draw.

Because of a lack of people reviewing my mods I did not give out any discount vouchers. Luckely it was a bit better this month and therefore I'm giving away two vouchers this time.
The winners of the vouchers for last and this month are geekgirl and itsawhiz.
Congratulations to both of you!

Thank you, I have been looking at the geo module :-). Geeks, making the world a better place |
Thank you, I have been looking at the geo module :-).
Don't forget the forum pagination mod too.
I have it, can't do without it.
The auto fill and showing the joining party who is in their area, great. Two less steps in the join form.

As some of you will know the past few months have been pretty rough and with lots of things happening at the same time it was hard to keep the ball rolling. Nevertheless, I managed to:
- Migrate my existing website to Dolphin
- Modify the Advanced Password Forgot module to support v7.0.x
- Update the BotStopper module with new functionality (if it doesn't work for you, you get a full refund*)
- Start testing a long expected update for the GEO Locator (tests are already on my live website!)
- Start work on many new features for my AutoMail module (alpha release expected to be ready next week)
- Keep my customers happy (there is nothing more important to me)
One thing I did not keep up with is my promise to give someone, who bought and reviewed one or more of my products a $10 voucher to spent on any of my products. I deeply regret that and decided that anyone who bought any of my products and left me a review will receive that $10 discount.
Just PM me for the details.

Dang, I should have let a review. I never redeemed my voucher; is it still good?
I looked at your bot stopper and was interested but it states the reCaptcha needs to be in place and I removed that from my site because it is just to dang hard for people to read them; I use a magnifying lens on sites that have it and I still will input the wrong letters. I have even copied the reCaptcha image, loaded it into a graphics programme and enlarged it to try to read them. I hate reCaptcha and so did my members. Having said all of that, is there any way you could rework the bot stopper to not have to use reCaptca; or if the answer is no, will it work with any of the reCaptach replacements on the market?

Yes, it is still valid and also will remain valid, so no rush.
The BotStopper uses the recaptcha because I found it the more secure option, but I have implemented the BotStopper with AndrewP his slider module and am sure I can get it to work with other options as well.
Maybe in a next release I will add a different option than recaptcha, if I can think of something that is safe enough to use.

GG, the plus with this is, the captcha can be removed from the profile fields on the join form, making joining much quicker!
It is left on site for when the bot stopper detects un wanted post, or bot activity.
When detected you are then presented with the captcha.
Since I have had this module, Denre stands up to his word, MONEY BACK, well he's got my $$ and I have not had ONE single spammer/bot join. NONE!

So you are saying the reCaptcha does not have to be on the form and the bot stopper will still work? I have reCaptcha set up in the admin with the keys and all, I just dragged it to inactive in the form builder.

On the join form is no recaptcha needed. It is only used when the BotStopper for some reason believes it deals with a spam bot. This form that a user then sees has the recaptcha on it. So the only thing you need to do is configuring recaptcha in the admin panel, nothing else. Normal users will never see the recaptcha form, unless their IP or behaviour is suspicious.
