Akismet

I am new to boonex and am still setting it up.  

I want to know if there are any known issues with Akismet because I am thinking of using it.  I have read and seen where there have been a couple of issues, but they were old.

Can I put in my API for Akismet with confidence?

Yes, sure, just make sure that you've enabled it as well. 

Anyone experiencing problems with their connection to Akismet... such as "Connection timed out" issues?
