Advanced Settings

When I try to change anything in Advanced Settings I get this / Possible security attack!!! All data has been collected and sent to the site owner for analysis./ Nothing changes in Advanced Settings! I have not received any mail about an attack and the site is working well apart from Advanced Settings page and my reCAPTCHA is not working so people can not sign up.

Please help.

It could be the 7.1.4 antispam stuff; I have had problem with it on one 7.1.4 site I set up; it was telling me that the ToS checkbox was the problem ???? Yes, the ToS checkbox.  I just turned off the new 7.1.4 antispam stuff.  Go to your admin, go to Tools, Antispam and under the settings: uncheck Smart antispam check

and my reCAPTCHA is not working so people can not sign up

And your potential users will hate that bloody thing. too bloody hard to read.  There are several replacements in the market or you can just put in a security check question like "What colour is the sky?".  CAPTCHA has been broken for some time which is why they make it so bleeding hard to read.  I hate those bloody things.

Thanks G.G for trying to help but turning off the antispam did not work! I still get this /  Possible security attack!!! All data has been collected and sent to the site owner for analysis. When I try to change anything in Advance settings.

Any other ideas anybody?

Just for fun, how about going to the top menu, click on the magnifying glass and enter:

Possible security attack!!! All data has been collected and sent to the site owner

and see what happens.

Thanks for the link but that does not help me, its when I try to update my advanced settings I get the message ////  Possible security attack! I tried the option below but every time I hit the save button I get this message //// Possible security attack! and nothing saves.

Second Option:

Navigate to your Admin Panel>Settings> Advanced Settings> Other

replace the current impact level values to a -1  (negative 1) for both of the following

1) Total security impact threshold to send report: (This is the impact level defined to trigger an email sent to you)

2) Total security impact threshold to send report and block aggressor: (This is the impact level defined to trigger an email AND block access to your website)

Doing the Second Option will completely disable PHPIDS and you will no longer receive Possible Security Attack messages OR risk being blocked from your site. *** By disabling PHPIDS, you understand that your site could be a risk for an actual attack.

Hope this helps everyone understand better.
