Could someone explain to me how we can flag a photo as adult and only allow a certain membership level view them? many thank When you view any photo on the actions menu there's a "Report" button. You will need to modify your membership levels and restrict by going to admin --> Membership Levels scroll down to bottom and click on the membership level you want to edit |
Hi, thank you for your reply but what I am trying to achive is a situation where the admin FIRST see's all content uploaded by users before it gos live on the site - if any are adult then tag them as adult and not allow the standard (unverified adult member) see them - still keeping the content on the site and allowing a user level of 'adult' see them. |

First you will need to un-check "Enable auto-activation for files" in Admin ->Modules -> Photos -> Settings this way you will need to approve all photos before they go live. There's no way to tag them. I know it sucks, it would be a good idea to have this. |
I beg to differ about tagging them.........If a picture can be tagged which they all can be by the front end user who posts them then there is a database field that connects to those images probably "TAG" as a field in some table that tracks the photo's. As the Admin you have access to the database that you then can tag adult or anything you want........ THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY or you just have not thought of it yet.........Just a thought but I can't see for any reason that would not work it clearly is a work around and not ideal but should work...... Of course there's a way, but not available as a feature within Dolphin. Yes of course they get tagged in the Database, but who has time to go through the database and start tagging 1 by 1 especially if you have a busy site. I would submit this request to Unity as a new feature for the next update of Dolphin. |
Thank you both for your input on this topic. I run a few social sites with other scripts and this is my first attempt with Dolphin. I agree that it can be done as the other scripts I use have this feature pre built in. I think it is better to moderate content first rather than wait for a member to report it - The system I use on my other sites can can batch approve the photos in admin up to 500 at a time - displaying the thumbs in a gallery format, so the moderators can see at a glance if there are any adult photos to tag. The upside is a site that keeps content away from unverified adults eyes 100% and creates an income stream for the site owner by charging members to verify their age with credit cards. |
old post - new request! Would be great if there was a feature in the photo upload where you had to select if the pic was 18+ Then, if it was, the pic would be faded with warning that you had to accept to view.
Same in many other sites.
I would like this. |
maybe a module someone? |
Yes, an old topic but one that I am now needing to address. Marking content as adult and then allow members to select a switch that would block them from viewing content marked as adult. Or, a member could mark their site as adult and then users could select a switch that would not allow them to see any content from the member that has marked their site as adult. This was a feature on Yahoo! 360 that would be nice to have implemented on Dolphin. Geeks, making the world a better place |
Is it possible for me to create a new action for membership levels, an action that would work with categories, that would say, "View Posts with Category marked Adult" and that would then allow the person to view content with the category of "Adult" if they have that membership level. If so, how would I go about this? Geeks, making the world a better place |
