Adding featured members to the join page block...?

Unfortunately, the join page block doesn't allow many options other than the RSS feed and HTML block. I think showing a few photographs of featured members on the right hand side, under the Why Join block, could be a nice selling aspect of a site.  Is there any way to do that using the RSS feed or HTML block option? I've been playing around with it, but with limited html knowledge and even after an extensive google search, I have come up with nothing.

I, of course, could put the URL there to featured members, but that is only giving a (tah-dah!) link....

Any one have ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,

J

RSS and HTML blocks are the only standard block types available to all pages with the page builders. You can add a PHP block as another option with one of my mods from the market.

I even have a block tools mod that will allow you to copy blocks of type PHP, RSS and HTML from one page to another. But the featured members block is not one of them. That block like many others is a special block designed to run only on the page it was built for which is the index page.

However. Thats where the power of PHP come in. With a php block you can construct a block to display what your want. The problem of course is coming up with the php code to do it. But there are plenty of people with PHP skills here that can provide a little help with some things.

We can do this for you. This is going to take some custom php coding to get the block to show on that page.

Feel free to contact me and we can discuss everything you need done

There is a mod that will allow you to place any subset of members (featured, males only, females only .. plus many other options) on any page. Check out the Members Anywhere module.
