Adding actions for membership levels

Trying again...anyone -(???

Does anyone know how to add additional actions to the drop down for memberships under Profile Builder?  I've looked everywhere and thought I'd be able to just add 'new item' field but that is not available under that section.

Thanks so much for responding. It may have helped if I had specified the correct section...actually under settings/membership levels. 

 You have to actually attach a screenshot. A link to a local file on your computer is not going to help.

But anyway. If your looking to add additional things a member can do. Your out of luck.

What a member can do is determined by code of the various modules that make up dolphin. Your can't just simply make them up. The code has to be written to deal with the condition your trying to setup.

So that is the reason why adding a new item would not be there because it can't be done that way.

Look at it this way. Your car has 4 tires. And now you want to stick a 5'th tire on it. But there is no place to mount that 5'th tire. To do so would require the car be redesigned to accept the new 5'th tire.

In this case the code would have to be rewritten to accept and process the new membership restriction you want to add.

So it would be best to tell us what your looking to do.

Sorry about that...working off my new MacBook and dragged and drop as I always have w/the older OS but didn't realize it didn't place the image.  

That metaphor works completely.  That being said, i can tell you that I'm just trying to change the action options under custome levels as none of them was I looking to leverage.  I suspect that there is no way of replacing the existing drop down options unlesscode is written to support it as well?  

 So what i am asking is because none of them are what your want, then explain what it is you do want because there may be another way to do it. Most likely the solution will be code changes.

I wanted to add the following selections:

Level 1: comments like characteristics (that is a search category I created); limit view of like characteristics profile to 10

Level 2: limit view of set (1) characteristic based on answers they provide; limit view to 10 profiles

Level 3: limit view of set (3) characteristics based on answers they provide; limit view to 15 profiles; receive referral credit of $X for every Y friends referred

Level 4: All of the above; Provide customizable search assistance much like a personal shopper

Yea. Ok, that will be complex. So much so that you will have to make that a custom coding job posted in the jobs section.

I am not sure if anyone will tackle that for free here in the forums.

But you could wait and see if someone wants to.
