Add another option to upload videos, sounds, etc..

I have seen many people struggle with interface limit, php limit, hosting company limit, when it comes to uploading videos to the web site.

Right now there are three options to upload a file:  multiple files, record, and embed

Would it be possible to have a fourth menu such as:  Select file on server

This way I could upload my videos to a directory under my web root and then simply select the file form a list of files already on the server under the upload page.  That would make things very simple for large files, etc...

Seeing the number of message related to the Upload issues, I think this would be a great addition.

IMHO Its a very non standard feature and i don't expect or support this to be added inbuilt. Most of the issues people have is a result of mis-configured server

I agree, this should be a custom job.  I would post in the jobs section.
