A little help setting up Dolphin on VPS w/ webmin

If I could get a little help with setting up Dolphin on a VPS with webmin it would be greatly appreciated.  The server is Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 bit and has Apache2, MySQL 5, PHP 5, and sendmail installed as well as webmin for making changes to the configuration files.  My main question at this time is setting up Apache.  My VPS provider is letting me use their DNS server and I have pointed two domains; domain-name.com and domain-name.net to their DNS server.  I have a virtual server set up already but need help in knowing how to configure it so I can proceed with the installation of Dolphin.  What changes are needed so that my domains reach my server?  Not sure all the questions to ask here so be heavy with the info.  I do have SSH access to the server as well if needed to do some tasks.

I have been spending a lot of time out on the net reading up on how to do things but still not sure at this point.  It has been years since I used Unix so having to relearn a lot of things; hence, the installation of webmin to help speed things along.

Yes, I read your post but for now I am stuck with configuring Apache; I guess.  I come from a shared host world; unmanaged VPS is a new world for me.  At this time I have pointed my domains to the VPS provider's DNS servers.  Now, does my provider need to configure the DNS or do I need to do a reverse DNS?  The only thing I have ever done with DNS is to point domains to the proper name servers provide to me by a shared host.  Then going into the provided control panel I would point the domain name to the proper folder.  However, Toto, we are not in Kansas any more. LOL.

Currently typing my domain name into a web browser returns Server not found; Firefox can't find the server at www.domain-name.com.

Now, there is a virtual server set up and it is using the /www folder on the server.  I have uploaded the Dolphin files to the webroot.  I don't know how to proceed from here to get the webserver configured so I can proceed with installing Dolphin.

Thanks Newton27; I do appreciate any help I can get.  I contacted the VPS provider and they are going to take care of the DNS; all I need to do is to tell them which domains I want them to handle and they will do the rest as far as DNS.  I still have to get Apache configured.

any progress?

I was told that I did not have to do anything regarding DNS.  So I am waiting for the domain names to be entered in the DNS.

When I go to my domain-name.com I get a blank page.  When I view the page source, it contains nothing.  The same for the IP address.  So I am guessing that I need to configure something in Apache?  my webroot is /www and I am seeing that in the Apache config in webmin; just don't know what other settings need to be changed.

OK, I think it is a file permission thing.  I uploaded an index.html file and it returned a permission denied error.  I change the file permissions and it loaded the index.html page.

to get to the panel, you would enter your IP   https://mysite.com:10000
