Come on guys... There's so many things wrong with this release, I don't know where to start. There are so many things wrong with this release, It's just too annoying to even test drive it.
The new evo template needs so many css tweaks, it would take me a week to fix them all.
When you upgraded moxiemanager to the latest version, you can't possibly have tested it. Shouldn't config.php be something besides blank?
There is something wrong with just about any page you land on. You guys had no business releasing a beta in this condition. It leaves me with the impression that you just threw this out here to pacify us for a while.
Your profile cover/ change cover can't possibly be finished. Where's the ftp settings in admin? Why doesn't tinymce go away after a comment is posted to the timeline? Why do I get a file not found box where there's supposed to be a sound player?
I could sit here any type for two days, all the things that are wrong with this beta, but I'm not going to. What a mess!

Embedly integration? How about a few hints how I might make use of this on the user side. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
LOL. I kinda thought the same thing after i saw the number of issues this guy was reporting in this topic. http://www.boonex.com/forums/topic/Bug-reports-Suggestions-for-7-2-beta-.htm
Once i starting reading that, i did not even bother to download it yet until it's closer to finished.
Updating some of my modules at this point would be insane as some of them may be affected by template changes. I don't like to do work twice if i don't have to. https://www.deanbassett.com |
I haven't posted the rest of them yet :p It was just a quick check of only the home page of each module :) Problem is only 2 guys and 1000s of tickets to fix. I think idea of inviting others to solve tickets is good but i think its a bit late to do that. Still hope for best :)

I couldn't get myself to read that topic.... it's a chaotic mess, just like this beta. There's so many things wrong, it's just about impossible to come up with an orderly plan of action.

The FTP settings i believe are at the bottom of the page in the modules section in admin. administration/modules.php https://www.deanbassett.com |

I'm speaking of timeline comments. No, I've never seen a tinyMCE editor for commenting on the timeline before. Anyway, TinyMCE comments on the timeline doesn't really behave in what I believe would be a logical manner. At the very least, the content you just posted should be cleared from the editor. It's only my opinion, but if I have to click a link to make the editor appear, it seems logical that the big obtrusive editor should be closed once I submit the comment. As it is now, the editor content isn't cleared, and I can hit the 'Post' button repetitively, and post the same comment at the speed of light.

To change the cover:
- I click the 'Change Cover' link on the cover image
- I see a popup prompting me to upload photos, and I can even select an album. This part makes no sense to me, since it appears that I can only use photos from the 'cover photos album'
- To actually change the cover, I have to click 'Organize', drag a photo to the first position, and then that is the new cover photo. Nowhere am I given any clues on what I have to do to actually change the cover, nor do I get any affirmation that I have successfully changed the cover.
Does this all seem logical and intuitive to you? To me, it's feels pretty clunky.
Lose the initial popup... it's not necessary. Then when I arrive at the Cover Photos album home, One more click should be all that is needed to select an existing album photo as a cover. Anything more than that, is too awkward and confusing. Perhaps for the cover photos album, a 'Use as Cover' button near each thumb, or a drop down menu. Anything that is just one click. After that click, a success message would be nice.

I don't like the layout, that's why I didn't even bother in downloading this version. I guess I did the right thing, lets wait for the pioneers to find the way out of this mess first, lol |
Thank you for the info.
For me it clears after the comment is posted, please could you provide your OS and browser type and version ?
Does any JS error appear in browser's console upon comment post ?
Also does it behave the same way on demo.boonex.com for you ?
