7.0.9 - Phpbb Integration acc. to TRAC

Hello Peeps,

I found this description how to integrate the PHPBB Forum into Dolphin: http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/DolPHPBB

My BIG problem is, I cannot locate the files mentioned in this article - my "integration" folder contains 4 other folders like Base, Dolphin, Events etc. - but I don't see any integration file for the phpbb.

Does anyone know where to find it OR supply me with the mentioned files?

Orca forum fecks me off and I would love to change to another forum.

This integration is outdated; and I am not sure it would work with 7.0.9.

I would not try to integrate phpBB into a production site; play with this on a test install of Dolphin.

This, from what I can see, was for Dolphin 6.x; which had a different directory structure.

The file you are looking for was in the /modules directory, not in the /modules/forum/integrations directory.  I have found the file but I don't see how it would do you any good.  In fact, if you can grab a Dolphin 6.x download, you should see the file.

thank you all so much for your comments - i do have an old 6.something version here and will try it out with my "play-version" of my 7.0.9 .. if it works, i will be the happiest person here LOL

Hmpz, i do have some vb-integration files ( 3 of them ) in my 6.1.6 version but nothing referring to phpbb :( - and i have no vbulletin to try it out.

Can someone probably send these files to me so that I can try?

Not sure if this is the correct file; I found it in a directory listing that was in the open so downloaded it.

Of course you will need to examine the database structure.

This is for an OLD version, circa 6.0.  I don't even think 6.1 can play ball.  Also keep in mind the phpBB version mentioned would be OLD as well.

We have ALL been patiently waiting for a phpbb integration. The only person I know of that ever attempted it was Esase and that project failed.

Not sure why no one has stepped up. A competent coder could get around some of the pitfalls and create one. That mod would probably outsell even Ilbellodelwebs spy and evo wall....

Yeah I can confirm that the built in integration you found stopped working somewhere around version 6.0.4.

I was always pretty proud of my version but I stopped updating it around 6.1.4. I realized it was a huge waste of time because every time I would put a new version out someone would buy it and put it on the torrent sites for free in the first 15 minutes. Mine was a full version of dolphin that when you installed it phpbb3 and pommo mass mailer were already integrated from the start. I had join, login, avatar, and even the admin stuff integrated.. Not bad work for a shade tree programmer like myself.
