6.1.4 to 7.0.1 Upgrade

I am having some issues finding out how to go about upgrading and what the upgrade entails. Is there a way to keep all my content in the move to 7??

You will probably need to do it like this.

upgrade 6.1.4 to 6.1.5

upgrade 6.1.5 to 6.1.6

upgrade 6.1.6 to 7.0.0

upgrade 7.0.0 to 7.0.1

When you upgrade to 7.0.0 you will need to upgrade your RMS (if you are running your own). If you are renting space on a RMS from a host, you should let them know that you upgraded to 7.

You may also want to read the upgrade documentation, available here: http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/DolUpgrade. It should be remembered that you cannot directly upgrade from Dolphin 6 to Dolphin 7, and must use the included migration module in the latter.

Man.. I feel sorry for you (remembering when I went through this). I sure hope you dont have Mods installed on your site. If so, you should see it break on the first upgrade to  6.1.5

If it helps.. Its the name Zarcon with a mouse attached to the Z, written in musical bars.. Zarcon being my first computer name ever and playing music since I was 12. Figured it was something that describes me pretty good.

I never named my first two computers, but then again, they were never really special, as they were more-or-less hand-me-downs from the 1990's. However, my first computer I named was a Dell Inspiron 9300, which I recieved on Christmas day (even Ahteists abuse the system, you know), 2005. I named "her" Linda, and even though I've acquired far more powerful systems, she will always be my first choice. However, I'm not getting "Linda" tattoed on my arm.
