404 Not Found error when pasting Google API

I changed to Firefox because IE would not save the Google API code properly for the map and Firefox saved it and the map is working.

After that I got some code from Google to embed some videos. I opened the TinyMCE and pasted the code in the html area, updated it and it worked out fine the first time. The videos were there.

However, I decided to change the videos to different ones and I got a new code from Google. I erased the old code pasted the new one and then TinyMCE reports that –

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /plugins/tiny_mce/themes/advanced/source_editor.htm on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/1.3.41 Server at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com Port 80.

I tried a couple of times more and the situation is the same – Forbidden.

I contacted my host and they replied - Apache user does not have permissions to edit that file.

Hmmm? Why does it work one time only?

For reference mine is set to chmod 644.

.

You still having this problem?.....if not then maybe your admin session expired, or you lost connection to the internet and you didnt know but then regained it and in the mean time you were logged out of of your admin area.

The Host is checking messages from root server  -

They informed me - RPMDB is corrupted (For me it seems that it has been corrupted since the installation of Dolphin)

Erlier the host replied about the message Cpsrvd failed : Unable to connect to port xxxx

"it is nothing to worry about"

When I now chequed the root server messages since end of July 2008 they all have

warning: /etc/portsentry/portsentry.ignore created as /etc/portsentry/portsentry.ignore.rpmnew

I have ignored this because the site has been runing fine and it still does. But it seems that this 'warning' affects the possibilities for future changing of the site.

I realy don't know if this is the reason why I can't paste the Google code.

i cant recreate your problem, if your host hasnt fixed server issues for that long...maybe consider changing to a reliable host configured for dolphin.

The host fixed the problem after I mentioned it for them. But I'm still receiving the same 404 error.

Why could I paste the Google map-code and it's working and after that only one time for the Google video-code. The second time I pasted the video-code the 404 error appeard.

When I started Firefox the first time the browser notified me that some seting should added to alow pasting from it.

In firefox I often use 'control+V' to paste stuff. This avoids firefox refusing to do so.

There are none so blind as those that will not see.

This is the result is when pressing ctrl+v

Forbidden

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request

But if I paste a simple html code like

"

<html>

<head>

<meta http-equiv=

"Content-Language" content="sv">

<meta http-equiv=

"Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">

"ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document">

<title>

Ny sida 1</title>

</head>

<body>

<p>

Video</p>

</body>

</html>"

both with Firefox and IE there is no problem.

The host answered med after I asked them "I have a problem to paste Google API code in TinyMCE html editor" and the answers a got from them was -

1. We do not provide support for Boonex scripts.We host them and provide support on the server side so please contact Boonex regarding this issue.

2. Unfortunatelly we do not provide scripting support, you should check this with script developer directly.

I asked the host again and the answer was -

This is something that is related with boonex script itself, and as in our previous responses we unfortunately do not provide scripting support you should contact the script developer for further information about this.

Also under script support in that response it was not meant that script can't work on our server, but that we do not provide support for the script itself and the possible issues with it.

I solved it.

I typed in the Google code row by row. After each row I saved the code. After saving the last row (<!-- ++End Video Search Control Wizard Generated Code++ -->) it was not accepted. I pasted the code without the last line and it works fine. Thank’s everyone!
