404 Can't access Myprofile and Articles

I have a strange behaviour where some of my url link are cut and the .php is not there in my navigation bar

For axample in Admin panel I have in the URl: articles.php but when I'm in my website I can see only articles and then the server can't find it. the same with my profile I can see http://my.domain.com/user1 and I'm getting 404 error...However chat.php seems to show correct..

Do I missed one of the PHP parameter that force to add .php?? or do I have another problem?

I'm now on the latest version 6.1.4 ! and I'm not sure if it's related to it.

I'm not an expert but it sounds as though your rewites are not happening.
Check your .htaccess file for all the rewrite rules.

Not sure if this is the same issue:

After upgrading to 6.1 some of my links were broken:

For example:

The link in the menu object URL says grp.php

The actual address being accessed is http://www.art--for--sale.com/groups/all, which results in HTTP 404 - File not found.

I disabled permalinks for these categories and vuala - it works now

OR upgrade to D6.1.2 and it will solve this problem. Or --> Admin --> Settings --> PermaLinks --> and uncheck the boxes and save.
