video file quality

I'm sure this question has been answered many times

how can I change the video quality  of the files I upload  to my site  I'm an artist  and I want good quality video  files

right now the conversion process seems to be  lowering the quality   how can I set the quality   I see no option for this  but    I'm sure there is a PHP file that handles this somewhere  I just need a little help  finding it

any help would be greatly  appreciated

Under 'modules' 'flash apps' 'video player' 'settings' you will find where you can adjust the compression and the frame rate

Go to admin>modules>flash.  click on the video player and check the box next to "Save origional video quality while recording".  That will give you the hd quality your looking for, otherwise no matter what seting you put compression quality it will look like crap.
