"this block has no properties" error message - can't click out

When working with the html blocks - when I click on the html block to change the content the first time, it always says "this block has no properties." And freezes on the error screen. 1. Duh, it has no properties, that's why I'm clicking on it - to change the properties! I can't really see the point of this error msg. 2. The error screen doesn't go away, there's no way to click out of it. I have to reload the page each time I create a new block in order to be able to work with the block.

I recall this happening when you click the block too early (before a new sample block spawns). It would be better if the block was disabled for a few seconds (can't click on it to edit the properties).

you are clicking too fast. i have noticed this same thing from time to time. give dolphin a moment to get caught up. then click on the block link, and all should be hunky dorey.

I don't mind it throwing an error message if I'm clicking it too fast, or any other reason. What bothers me is an error message that freezes everything. I shouldn't have to reload the entire page or go back a page (and it takes you back to the main page blocks page, not the page that you were on to start). I should just be able to click out of it and keep on going.

I can't believe this has just come up. I noticed it from day one using D. I don't consider a problem, maybe a patience problem.

I don't see how or why this is considered a bug, if your internet connection is slow, your server is under load, you will see this happen all the time.

Just wait for D to recreate the "blank" HTML Block under Samples.... then click to edit your block.

While testing D on an intranet, this does not happen.

Most people wouldn't know that you have to wait for the block to spawn again. It's not so much a bug, but the feature could be improved.

I guess, I would rather them concentrate on major bugs, not something small as this.

This has happened to me many, many times, and I had to click the back button to get out of it. Of course I had to find the page I was on again from the drop down menu, but at least it got me out of it. I haven't had this problem since I stopped doing any editing in my admin with IE and switched to Firefox.

newton,

I totally agree. I'd much rather have them work on major bugs as well. However, I'm not going to quit mentioning the little things because of that! I really want Dolphin to be the best software it can be from top to bottom since we've hitched our ship to it! And the better it is, the more user friendly it is - then the more people will use it. And will pay to use it. And therefore, the more incentive for the developers to make it even better!

instead of using the back button, use F5 or refresh button..

I agree ggsinc.
