"Outline" is a GOLDMINE of posiblities!

As the "outline" block can be moved all over the place does it not beg for directed material? If I have a page that is about diving and all I want on that page and that outline is JUST diving I should be able to direct the way a page is used.  Modzzz did this with a property block that pulls information based on a tag and or category!  If it is tagged diving it will pull all posts that are diving.  The outline block should be designed the same way and allow for pages to be added that allow for a single block so you can allow what the outline is designed for which it to be eye candy like this: http://www.thrillon.com/

LOOK the possibilities are endless if the developers would just think about the use of the cats and tags to disseminate information then and only then will DOLPHIN be able to be used to its highest and best use...with the use of the cats and the tags putting information where it belongs becomes SIMPLE simply by sorting data like Google Does only on the "Outline Platform"

Yes, this is exactly what I was referring to a few weeks ago when I responded back to you by saying:

Hello Csampson, sorry for the delay.

OBTW Hello back...

Ok, so now my next question is can certain FOLDERS be pointed to those different out lines?

Ex: When a user get ready to upload a pic/video of a stage performance, can the categorized folders (jazz, rock, techno, ec.,) be pointed to the out line specifically for that genre of music?

I must of missed it and the answer is yes of course...THE boards are targeted landing pages for all the possible media that dolphin offers.  I don't understand why this doesn't get extreme traction what am I missing here?  THIS the the exact premise of pinterest by being able to make a board and then ORGANIZE whatever around that board...

It is the brilliance of organization and is complete ease of use... EVEN if it is to just be able to add anything to a board by uploading to it...  If you develop mods PLEASE DO THIS and it will sell quickly...

It is a shame that mainstream blogs label this kind of presentation as "Pinterest-like" repeatedly. It has been popularised by Pinterest, but really, it's a natural evolution of content delivery. With better connection speeds and more powerful computers we can safely display more rich media within a single page, with infinite scroll and with optimal positioning. Masonry-js method fits this perfectly, and it has to be seen as a next-stage "line of thinking" when building browsing pages.

And, like you've noted, Outline has a massive potential that must be developed. It's not just about one single feature improvement - it's about up-to-date approach in display, filtering and quick-access interaction development. Dolphin's Outline is definitely going to be further improved and integrated. Well, and as many people already mentioned, it would have to find its way into mobile apps eventually.

You know, I was thinking today (it's always bad for everyone when I do that, lol). How come you don't make a few videos for us Andrew where you can spend a few minutes talking about the features and the possibilities they represent? It would be a great way for us to see your vision a little better and maybe even make it easier to follow what you are doing...

Just thinkin out loud. I really like that display and can see it as a very powerful tool. Until clicking that link, I had no idea the power this idea contained.

Masonary-JS as I thought about this the more interesting it becomes with a search feature as well!  All I can hope for is a complete adoption of the idea.  Organizing the collectiveness of Dolphin is nothing but attractive.  The cats and tags make a huge site quite manageable...

Just looked at the 'Thrillon' site. I want it!! if that is what CSampson is talking about, I definately want it!!

I also want to be able to type a web address into Outline and have it pull up a photo and some opening text from that website in the same way Facebook does...

This could be a good year!

not cool, one thing i don't like is the infinite scroll, try reaching the footer lol. But the timeline as is now is cool with load more button

Thrillon is exactly what I was trying to describe.  I was using the wrong terminology, I was addressing categories as folders.  Thanks for using that as a reference.

See, I told you guys back when I was BEGGING for help (with my projects) that I have some idea's, some really "different" idea's.  But yea, this idea came to me without even knowing such function/feature existed. I also had no knowledge of the module here in the market that could do such either, until recently and by accident.  I try my best to not copy other's idea's as I like being an original & different though.

However, since that is already an idea that is implemented, that's just one (really great) idea.  I have plenty more

Thanks CSampson for fully expressing this the way I was trying to (and failed horribly, lol) on my original post in that link.  Im really happy that the vision/concept hit you too :)

You don't own an IPAD, IPhone, Smart Phone or tablet do you?  Just curious?

THAT feature is one of the most awesome available today because it allows for just what it was designed for....infinite scroll
