"In a Relationship with" Mod Support (Modzzz)

This is the support forum for the "In a Relationship with" mod.

Version 2.0.1 released. (see patches/version_2.0.1 folder for instructions)

Adds functionality so that a relationship request is first sent to the member and it is then accepted or rejected.

How does the other member approve the request for relationship sent to them? It's not in the inbox, activity, notifications, home/account/profile. I'm stumped.

 An email is sent to them.

A better question might be, How - Within Dolphin - Do they approve relationships?  As many users may have notifications disabled, have site e-mail being sent to their spam folders, or just ignore e-mails preferring to interact with the site directly.

Relationship request is now sent to Inbox also (previously sent to Email only)

That's not very user friendly. Was sent to Spam Mail. When approve request redirects me back to profile of requestee but now nothing has changed.

Can this request not be sent as an internal mail? I don't think I can use this if it is sent to physical email.

 I believe this is what modzzz said in the post immediately preceeding yours.  He/she has updated it to include a copy in your dolphin mailbox, as well as e-mail.  While this is indeed not the most user friendly option, It's worlds better than a lone e-mail only.  I'm satisfied.

 This error is caused because you are running the update for 2.0.1 which already exists on your site.

On my own profile page, in Action block, I can see the button "Add relationship". Anyone knows how to remove it on my own profile page? It should not be shown.

Modified so that "Add Relationship" link is not showed on Profile when viewed by Profile Owner.

Hi modzzz,

I was asking my members for their thoughts on improving my site.  One of my members mentioned if it was possible to add more options/choices in regards to the type of relationship their in.

This I believe would be best if the admin would create those options for the members to pick & choose.

As there's a fetish element to my site, it would have to include the types of fetish relationships there are as well as say normal relationship types.  For example an open relationship, and a fetish type could be dominate/submissive relationship.

Would this be possible for any future enhancements or would you only consider a one-off?

This email was send to me while we're testing some modules. The URL that they link to is **** and isn't working. How can i solve that?

There is some other process or third party module on your site that is modifying the URLs. Nothing in the module will replace the URL with ****.

The strange thing is that it worked perfectly on our old server and  on the new server ( with exactly the same modules and code ) it's giving the **** in the url.

Can that be the privacy setting? That if as default the privacy of someone his / her profile is "me only" or "friends" and you send the request he replaces the url with *****?

The issue was coming from another module as mentioned in my previous response. It has been resolved on your site.

A user can have multiple relationships at once?

 No, but that is a planned feature.

A shame, is a necessity for me. Any idea how long to implement it ?

 The module is now updated to allow multiple relationships

The block of relationship shown in all profile pages should only appear when the profiles of the related .

Notification says he has a relationship with himself.

@buensumiso - I do not understand what you have said for Bug 1. It seems you didn't finish typing that sentence. Please elaborate.

Allows adding multiple relationships among other updates.

Suppose the member 1 and member 2 has a relationship.  This relationship should be displayed only on page profile of these two members.

However , the relationship between them is shown in profile page for all users .

That issue is now resolved. The following file is updated :

modules\modzzz\relation\classes\BxRelationSearchResult.php

Relationship Reject Notification Message

hello, I have a problem with this notification message becausse it arrives to the person who accept or reject the relationship, it does´t arrive to the person who send the request

I have loaded the file into my Modules folder in root, but I cannot get it to install

This is the message I am getting, any suggestions?

After uploading, the path to the module should look like this : 

dolphin_root/modules/modzzz/relation

How/Where can we change the relationship options?

 It is a predefined list. Login to Admin panel then go to "Builders" => "Predefined Values" and select "RelationType".
