Hi, I'm getting an error when people hover over a profile or go to someones profile and use the person to person chat option, when you type the message then click enter you get a pop up box that says

Anyone any ideas why this is happening? I've tried un-installing and re-installing both the desktop and messenger applications.

Thanks in advance, see attached

Its the simplemessenger module, uninstalled it reinstalled it, anyone any ideas?

It seems your module files are modified.

Download a new package and copy the module from it to your server and install it.

Can anyone else help with this issue?

Thanks

The first thing I'd suspect, is that overkill of a "contact us" button that you added to every page. The javascript that it uses probably creates a conflict with the Dolphin popup. I'd get rid of it if I were you.... there are better ways to do that.

Thanks Houston, removed it and tested it and I still get the same issue.

Any other ideas?

You cleared the cache directory on your server?

Actually, after having another look, I have no idea. You seem to have created some sort of mutant s website. I gotta ask... what the hell is it? Dolphin? Wordpress? what?

The plot thickens, the module appears in the installed and not installed list, I try to install it again to move it and it says it's already installed, I can however uninstall it, then it only shows once in the uninstalled, I reinstall it and it shows in both again.

I have cleared the site cache

Any ideas?

Scratch that... it was because I renamed an old copy of the simple messenger folder to old_simple_messenger and put a new copy in, it was still seeing the old copy... I then went with the theory it was the old corrupt copy I was using all along, I removed all signs of simple messenger in the module dir, copied a new simple messenger in from a fresh 7.5 download I got yesterday and ................ same issue!

Might have something to do with your google javascript files in
and on page, as i see your shoutbox does not work either. Remove them, clear caches and test.

Thought (and hoped) you might have had something there, I've replaced the _header.php and _footer.php files with brand new ones removing any google ad and analytics code

No joy :(

Did you clean cache's via ftp? I see some info still there.

</div

1285

Sponsored Ads

128

1287
1290

Might not be the google adsense codes causing all of your issues but from what i can see its conflicting with something.

They are just page blocks that link to the other code you saw in the header, I've removed the page blocks now as well, flushed the cache via FTP and tried again but same error, see attached

Shoutbox isn't working and nether is the map, people aren't showing up on the map!

Seems these things are all connected somehow :)
