Fields Builder never loads

What is 'Fields Builder'?  I assumed it is to edit and set fields for the enrollment page.

However, when I click it, it says 'loading' but nothing ever loads.

It dynamically loads the content, so it may take awhile. It may also depend on what web browser you are using.

How long is it taking to load in FF?  If it's over 1 minute then it's not going to load nad you have an issue.  Are you using D7 or D6?

Netmoney - start by clearing your cache - on the control panel button and I would also delete the content of your /cache and /public cache - except for the .htaccess file.  This has to work or you will never have a system.

It does not load.  It just says loading.

I don't know if it has ever worked or not.

I can click on edit profile, view profile, search profile...and it switches to those with each having some radio buttons that appear to do nothing.

But the 'join form'  does nothing..... says loading.

Try going to admin --> Tools --> Modules  and uninstalling the Profiler module.  This module used to create the problem you describe when it was installed, but I thought it was fixed long ago.  Maybe it's back.

When you switch to one of the other tabs - like "edit" or "view" - do you see areas below that say "active items" and "inactive blocks" - is anything in those areas?

update: good idea HL, if you have profile customizer you might dump that too.  When I was having join problems my hosting company tracked it down to one of those two modules.

Profiler is not installed.

No I don't see anything when switching to view or edit.
All I see is some radio buttons to tic like admin, member.....but nothing happens when they are ticked.

check php.ini setting for
allow_url_fopen = on

(do you have java & flash player installed on your comp)

That depends on your set up - on many it is in the root I believe.  I seem to recall your saying you paid someone for  the install - maybe you should tell them it wasn't done properly.

Well anyway, he is very nice and he did the install.

I did contact him but I have not heard back from him about this issue.

IF I knew for sure what the issue is, I could at least contact someone that can fix it.

But no one here seems to really know why it does not load.

My agent that I chose when signing up to this, is useless to me.  I don't even bother to contact her.  She takes forever to reply.

I just cannot help but wonder why people create software like this and never bother to create a step by step guide to set up the thing, list common troubles with resolves.  It's very aggravating.  I have a following that is waiting on me to launch this thing and I cannot even get the profile fields thingie to load.  Cry

looks like you do have an issue here contact the person whoever installed it $99 huh  speaking of nice you could have found nicer ppl here that would have done better for less                     $99 for an installation                NEVER

No it did not cost me $99.  Alexander only charges $30.  And he has been very good.  He is somebody here.

He fixed the problem...it was the loss of the english language.  He said some how I lost the english language setting.

He fixed it and now the profile fields thingie loads right away.

Hi there!  I had the same problem.  I fixed it by choosing a Default language.  I had 2 language files (French and English) on my site but none selected.  I chose English as my default language (top of the Language Setting page), then cleaned All Cache from the main Admin page and voila, the problem was fixed, my Fields Builder page was loading again.  :)
