No, I am not complaining about the cost, or value as one of my dolphin sites is licensed and i support Boonex fully. I wasnt doing anything illegal. And I only decoded it to see what it was. I found it to be 'different' that Boonex would add in some base64 into the script. I was only mearly looking at the differences in the two design.inc files and saw an entire string of the encoding. As you can tell by my message I never complained, or accused anyone of anything wrong, nor did i complain see more about anything "FREE" or not "FREE" Aparently you need to learn more about how to read people before you comment. I also stated I feel it was only fair to let everyone know what I found, and what it does. No big deal and nothing harmful was done.

"...i support Boonex fully."
Oh really? And this is how you show your support?

Here's what you said Interex,"I found it very fishy that boonex was hiding code inside the script."

Let me educate you a bit. Using words like "secret", "hiding" and "fish" are normally not associated with the word "trust". And I doubt most companies would want their actions to be associated with those mentioned words that you used to describe this discovery see more in the Boonex file(s).

To start, you used the word secret in the title post. In most settings, secrecy is a key attention getter. And the word secrecy is not typically associated with "trust". It usually mean, like you mentioned "hiding" something.

Again, when you say, "I found it very fishy that boonex was hiding code inside the script."

In *my* world when I read a statement like that it says to *me* "Boonex is trying to pull a fast one!" It is a negativo and not a positive statement.

To illustrate, let's use your avatar name with the same statement,

"I found it very fishy that INTEREX was hiding code inside the script."

See what I mean? It doesn't sound too positive does it? Makes you look like a dork don't it? Not sure what world you live in, but to me, that is negative.

And it seems I am not alone. It seems nucca referenced your post when he said, "This is really shocking!"
Again, I have to iterate, "shocking" is not a positive word to be associated with a company like Boonex. Nucca then continues to pummel the non-FREEness of the script. The fact is, IT IS FREE - you just need to make sure you keep the links. Some people ofcourse want it all and that really is very lame. If you want the links out, pay the $40 bucks. Simple but not easy to understand for some people.

Interex, when you said, "No big deal and nothing harmful was done."
Ahem, well yes it is a big deal. You've basically diluted the purpose of the encoding by letting the cat out of the bag. You've given information to the crooks on where to find the intellectual property statement thereby tipping them off. You then gave them the file name and the encoding structure. If I were Boonex I would be pissed at you. (Actually, I can't believe I have to explain this one to you.)

Good work hero. Thanks for supporting Boonex. Not.
