I did not see anyone mention this on what you have posted. Have you ever heard of praising in public and punishing in private? Simply blocking the account and firing him would have sufficed. All of us are interested in your finished product. What happens internally is none of our business. No matter what this guy did, I feel bad for him now. You have disgraced the guy in front of all his peers.

Yes, he got caught using someones code. You hear every day that the big corporations see more (Apple, Microsoft, Blackberry, Nokia etc...) are using each others patents without asking. Shameful, yes. But, you will never, I mean never, see a post on one of those companies blogs admonishing an employee.

That's my two cents.
