For the time try this:
In the first line of file inc/header.inc.php add this row:
date_default_timezone_set('Europe/Rome');
Obviously change Europe/Rome with your timezone (you can find them here: http://www.php.net/manual/en/timezones.php)
It will fix your time problem...
About RC5... I don't have word....obviously we got few ticket...2 days....
