Apparently this is an ABK produced piece of software called 3D city, based on Quest3D (http://quest3d.com/) engine. As far as I understand, most of the 3D processing happens at client end with the Q3D browser plugin.
To successfully develop something like this, you need a couple of developers who take it on as their main project, or otherwise a dedicated individual who has too much Coke and too little life in his system.
It is just a future idea, you make it sound like it cannot be done without a lot of hassle. Sure it will take time, no one is saying this would be a quick and easy thing to do, but it can be done and if a programmer is willing to do it, i am willing to pay for it.
I not only "make it sound like it cannot be done without a lot of hassle", I can guarantee that developing something like this from a scratch is a lot of hassle.
Believe me, I have nothing against something like this coming up. I'm just pinning down the realities, which I imagine is a good thing for every reason.
Seems to me, all you have to do is buy the product for $397. http://www.3d-city.net/ and let them integrate it into your site.... or am I missing something? It's just a chat system. I looked at the demo about 6 months ago, but the 3D city was deserted.... must have been some sort of pandemic.
