In reply to Special Blog Area

I have to respectfully disagree DosDawg.

I don't think it has been made clear at all what is - or isn't allowed in the blogs area. It really seems to be based on the perception of whoever views it - and has the power to delete it.

There was a blog removed last night and I have no idea why. I have seen others that I thought would be removed and never were.

My recent blog was removed and I never received any reason for it other than the generic post that Victor made. My blog post didn't fit see more any of those descriptions. Neither did the blog that was removed tonight.

I think it would be nice to have a place to blog where posts don't just disappear without any apparent reason - no warnings - and no explanations.

The system that is in place here isn't rational - hence my statement that I will not post anymore blogs on Boonex. There isn't any point to it. It's a waste of time. Even commenting on a blog is hit or miss.

In my case, having my blog deleted subjected me to one pundits scolding about what is & isn't globally acceptable in a blog post. This, after obviously never having read my post. I'm not sure where some people are getting their logic from.

It's implied guilt when a persons post gets removed. It can also receive scorn - as was my case.

Ironically, I saw at least one person in the past who actually *asked* to have their blog deleted - and it remained until a couple of days ago. It may still be there.

No. The Boonex blogs are very, very censored. The reasons elude me, but they are. So I whole heartedly agree that it would be nice to have a place to blog - other than Boonex. Some people aren't welcome to blog here & I would be one of them.

I don't believe that I'm a problem, though it would seem that some with power view me as one. But then if having a blog deleted was the way to judge worth here - there are a lot of people who are a problem, since there are a lot of people who have had blogs deleted.

I don't care really. I think it's silly that someone would hop on their high horse and arbitrarily delete posts. But to say that "your blog can be about whatever you want to blog about" is wrong. It can't be & I will be happy to post a few more legitimate blogs to prove it if that's what it takes.

I think it puts the new moderators in a really bad position since they are going to be the first people accused of removing posts, when it probably wasn't them.

Then again, who knows. I don't - not really. See what I mean?
DosDawg
you are correct, and i seen where there was a blog removed with no real measure, and i actually took a moment to write in and ask that if a blog is going to be removed, the rule violation needs to be stated, and then it can be hidden, the blogs are not deleted, not by the moderators.

i will hide a blog only, and i repeat, only if its detrimental or blatantly harmful to boonex, another member or any other person.

i think your blogs should be held in high regard, as long as they are clean, see more non-abusive, non-threatening, non-aggressive, clear and concise in its presentation does not even need to be achieved here on a blog, as a blog is in my opinion. for ramblings.

yes please do post on here, and we will see what takes place. i can assure you that i have not removed any of your posts. i have removed a few posts over the past couple of days, i have also when available written to the author of posts on here and informed them the post was in violation of the blogs rules or as we are all aware, the constitution declared by Andrew.

categories and topics are not specifically outlined as to what we can or cant post, that is correct, however, there are specifics that say what should not be included, i.e. support related inquiries. at any rate. i do want you to continue to blog here, as i truly believe we are going to be able to turn this around and create a positive flow of communications on this site and on the forums.

just as an example, there have been no "negative posts" today.

Regards,
DosDawg
