The only thing I can suggest is to run a php info on the site yo confirm it is installed. My host installed it for me and now it is working fine. I am still having the java error in Admin/Builders page though no one as addressed that as yet.

I hope you get your issues solved. I know what it feels like trying to get something fixed and have no power over it.
