I don't know anything about amazon's ec2. Everytime I hear amazon I think books or something.
Only person I know that uses clustering is the member and moderator cyberxing which runs a dolphin hosting business and rms service.
Clustering is a nice concept and decent idea, but setting it up and managing it is a little more complicted than a normal dedicated box. And it's a little pricy for one to just get a cluster setup just for fun and to see what can be done with it.
So on this forum and see more blog site cyberxing is the only one I know of. There could be others, but if so I've never seen mention.
Server clusters are becoming more popular and more reasonable pricing all the time.
