That is the "SEO friendly links".. you can turn them off in admin under the "advanced options". But if your htaccess file is in place those links should take you to the correct items??

I am unable to upload the htaccess files to my server, I had almost every thing working in 6.0 without them but now its not working at all, is there a way to do this without the htaccess files Im intending to change servers next month but in the mean time I want to get as much done as possible.
we had to delete the whole 6.0 to install 6.1 and we are having so many issues with it, I do love the new vrs. by the way

Rename your .htaccess to htaccess.txt then upload it, and rename it back to .htaccess on your server.

I did try to rename the file and then rename it on the server but it told me that it was not a function that was allowed I will try agian with the .txt at the end of it thanks for the idea
